For Rock and Blues lovers:

If you haven't checked out the two man band called Gypsy Cab, you have a void in your soul that must be filled.
For a stage of 2, the magnitude is shocking. Check it for yourself.

If you were thinking the whole time that the guitarist and I shared a striking resemblance (which I'm sure you were)It's because he is my BROTHER.

How did these genes skip over me?

EVERYTIME I throw a party at our house I learn something new. This time it was that bacon will take you by surprise when you leave it under the broiler in your oven.
Our guests were welcomed into our home by the fire alert beeping, accompanied by a thick cloud of smoke- afterwards my mom told me she liked very crispy bacon...almost blackened, anyway.Thats why parents are good guests.
Luckily spring is here, which meant nothing could stay wrong for long, and cute little Emma, the newest addition to our fam was there too- so the morning was a peach.

JP Hand Straight sample"A working person toiling away on an automobile assembly line or in a restaurant kitchen must have found it difficult to understand how the bankers and brokers who have brought the economy to its knees made so much money simply by selling pieces of paper. When workers make cars, houses or meals, and when farmers produce food, they are producing something that people need and can use. But those who sell complex financial instruments don't produce anything tangible at all. Something doesn't seem right about making money without producing a useful good or service. And indeed, no society can survive if the only economic activity - or even the dominant activity - is lending and borrowing money. The same can be said for buying already-made things at one price and selling them at a higher price. If the only economic activity is merchant trade, everyone will soon die because nothing is being produced. At its most fundamental level, an economy is a system of production of at least some useful outputs. When so much labor is devoted to the buying and selling of pieces of paper, with the sole aim of converting money into money, something profoundly irrational is taking place."

JP Hand Straight sampleYesterday Morning at 5:30 A.M. Chris and I went on a little expedition to Fish Lake with our good friends Sadie and K.C. for some Ice fishing. My plan was to document the whole thing...but after about 20 minutes my fingers were FRIGID and Molly was a terror, so here are the few pics that were captured:

5:30 AM- This pic says it best

Desolate scenery

Molly felt that every fishing hole was a personalized water bowl for her.
She also enjoyed everyones fishing bait.

First catch of the day!

Fisherman...

Are...

solemn.

"Perch" fish (only ones I could catch)

Finally got a shot of KC- he wasn't as keen on catching the little guys so he was off catching chairs that blew away in the wind for us. and taking awesome pics. LOVE this couple.

Ice fishing is not for everyone. For the average person, I would say...sleep in on your Saturday morning, or wait for the Ice to melt. Somehow, I have a feeling this will not be the end of my ice fishing adventures. Last night at the grocery store, I had to pull Cirac out of the aisle for hooks and bait...(sigh). Love my rugged mountain man.
